Alzheimer’s Memory Cafes

Throughout the summer, composer Kate Pearson and Camerata Musicians Amina Cunningham and Barbara Grunthal have been delivering sessions at ‘Memory Cafes’ run by the Alzheimer’s Society in the Heywood, Middleton & Rochdale areas, funded by Morrisons Foundation. We visited some care homes in the area too and wrote some great songs. We’re very much looking forward to going back in January to perform the songs with the groups again, and to record their performances to go on CDs for the groups to keep.
