Manchester Camerata in Japan

In September 2017, Manchester Camerata musicians Amina Cunningham and Naomi Atherton returned to Japan with Lucy Geddes, Head of Camerata in the Community, for the second phase of the Music & Ageing project. In collaboration with the British Council, the team delivered a week of training for Japanese musicians with regards to music-making with older people and people living with dementia. The project partners included Japan Century Symphony Orchestra, Tokyo Bunka Kaikan, Uneo Gakuen University and Kawasaki City Council.
