In the spring term 2017, Camerata musicians are working with curriculum teachers from Wigan Music Service who are incorporating creative composition techniques into their lessons, based on the theme of dance. The musical results of these lessons will be arranged by composer Andy Smith into a piece for Wigan Youth Orchestra to play at their annual summer concert in July 2017. Other Wigan schools will also get involved in a massed singing event around the same theme. We’re looking forward to hearing the musical ideas from each class!
