Festive Happenings in Manchester

4 months of work and collaboration between four of Mosscare St.
Vincent’s sheltered housing schemes accumulated in a performance to over 1,000
people at the Albert Hall on 10^th December and a performance in Moss
Side to mark the 50th anniversary of the Mosscare housing schemes.

The residents from each centre created songs and drama to
create 4 original songs on topics of their choice. All residents also teamed
together to create a finale song, entitled Home.
The finale was performed on 10^th December as part of Manchester
Camerata’s Festive Happening concert.
The residents sang and performed their hearts out, and the piece was received
with Christmas cheer by the audience. The rest of the concert was enjoyed by
all, and made a memorable evening.

All 5 original songs were later performed at a Mosscare
gathering on 19th December to friends and family, with a Christmas dinner to
finish the night off.
