    Music in Mind at Bourke Gardens

    In July we came to the end of 15 weekly Music in Mind sessions at Bourke Gardens Extra Care Housing Scheme and Poppy Care Centre, in Salford. Camerata principal percussionist Janet Fulton and music therapist Kate Fawcett led sessions for people with dementia, who came together to explore music-making using percussion instruments, guitars and their voices. Both groups expressed feelings of happiness and enjoyment about taking part in the sessions, and their carers are therefore continuing to run their own sessions as a result of taking part in this project....
