    Music in Mind at Wythenshawe Hospital

    From May until August 2017, Principal Percussionist Janet Fulton and Music Therapist Kate Fawcett are delivering Music in Mind sessions for people living with dementia on the wards of Wythenshawe Hospital.   • Helping others with Community work

    Orchestra’s Live Project

    On 22nd and 23rd February we visited care homes and community groups in Withernsea, East Riding, as part of a project with Orchestra’s Live which sees members of the community writing new songs to perform with the orchestra later in the year. Some members of the groups held a sharing performance of their new work at the Meridian Centre on 25th February, which marks the beginning of this long term project to integrate orchestral music-making and performing in the East Riding area....   • Charity work with Camerata

    Camerata at Little Marsden Parish Centre

    In January and February 2017 we worked with two care homes in Nelson, Burnley, alongside Little Marsden Parish Centre, to write music with older people about their lives and their community. On 1st March, the groups came together with other local people and children from the local primary school to celebrate the new music that was written through a massed sing-a-long, followed by tea and cake. We are very grateful to East Lancashire CCG for providing us with the funding to work with these lovely people.... Read More
