Manchester really is the City of Songs!

Our new City of Songs project is underway! We’re working with teachers from four primary schools in Manchester in a two year project from September 2018 to July 2020 to teach them all about song writing and how this can be embedded in the curriculum.

We started the project by exploring what song writing means and how this project can help develop music making in each of these schools. Throughout year one of the project, teachers will receive regular mentoring sessions and masterclasses from experienced Camerata practitioners to up-skill them to deliver their own music and song writing activities with their class. Lots of learning, lots of fun!
