We Are Withernsea!

Residents of Withnersea in the East Riding of Yorkshire performed their own original piece ‘We Are Withernsea’, composed with composer Richard Taylor, Camerata musicians Janet Fulton and Lynne Racz, and Remarkable Arts musician Mark Howley, to the sell out concert ‘Tea With Manchester Camerata’ on 18^th October.

Since January this year we have been working in Withernsea to engage with members of the local community to compose new material to be performed with the orchestra in local venues. This performance was the accumulation of the project, which was performed alongside the 13 piece Camerata ensemble performing a selection of classics. The audience included children from the primary school, and members of local choirs, all of whom will be joining us for a celebration concert at Bridlington Spa on January 28^th 2018. This concert will involve the Sinfonia Viva orchestra, and will mark the culmination of this project funded by East Riding of Yorkshire Council and Orchestras Live.
