    Young People’s Health and Wellbeing PHSE

    In March we proudly launched our Young People’s Health and Wellbeing PHSE resource in Denton Festival Hall in Tameside in collaboration with Tameside Public Health. We created this resource through 6 workshops held at the end of last year with children from Tameside schools, who created songs based on health and wellbeing topics that they suggested which affected their lives.     Who Runs the World

    On 5th March 2018, 30 young women from two local high schools, Loreto High School took to the stage to perform their very own piece alongside the orchestra, conducted by Jessica Cottis. The piece began the concert Who Runs the World, in celebration International Women’s Day and was met with rapturous applause from the audience. The piece called ‘I am - Who I am’ was composed during workshops led by Kate Pearson throughout January and February.   • Citc Workshop

    Cumbria composers create

    As part of the ‘Tales of Eden’ project based in Cumbria, a group of local young composers met once again, this time at a weekend residential course at the Hawes End Centre, to continue creating a new song cycle to be performed by the Cumbria Youth Orchestra, Cumbria Youth Choir and a cohort of local primary schools.
