    Songlines group’s ‘Exchange Square’

    The happy faces of our Songlines group, drawn from a project with the Royal Exchange Theatre last year, who performed a new piece as part of the Bridgewater Hall’s Tram Tracks project. The project involved multiple music groups writing new songs about each of the Metrolink tram stops (of which there are 93!) to celebrate both the Bridgewater Hall and Transport for Greater Manchester’s anniversaries.   • The Horrors of War

    Horrors of War

    Our partnership with Webster Primary School continued into the summer term  of 2017 with a five day project for year six pupils based on their curriculum topic ‘Horrors of War’. The pupils worked with a Camerata composer, theatre maker and musician to write a new theatre piece which was performed for their peers and families. It spoke of multiple aspects of the holocaust, including persecution of different races and their hopes to promote peace and unity within the school.   • Camerata and Wigan Music Service

    Camerata musicians Amina Cunningham and Ryan Breen delivered a music composition project with Wigan Music Service in spring 2017. Pupils from four Wigan primary schools wrote new music which was then orchestrated by composer Andy Smith for Wigan Youth Orchestra to perform in their annual celebration concert.
