Making music for Withernsea Carnival
We returned to Withernsea, East Riding, in July to continue working with young people from Withernsea High School and the Cascade centre, as well as musicians from East Riding Council. The groups wrote new music about their school and the local area for a performance at Withernsea Carnival. Camerata and the Red Rose
A partnership with Lancashire Music Service saw a Camerata musician and Composer work alongside key stage 1 pupils from four Colne primary schools in May 2017 to create new music around Vivaldi’s ‘Four Seasons’, which the orchestra performed at the Colne Municipal Theatre on 26th May. Each school wrote new lyrics and rhythmic pieces about spring, summer, autumn and winter, and came together to share their work with family and friends at the Municipal Theatre alongside a Camerata string quartet. ...
