‘Orbis Motus’ in Lincolnshire
We’re looking back at the ‘Orbis Motus’ performance on 21st March 2017, in which young people from Lincolnshire worked with Manchester Camerata, Orchestra’s Live and Lincolnshire One Venues to curate an orchestral concert for local schools. The young people formed a group called ‘Guildhall Producers’ and worked incredibly hard to create a programme, theme, narrative and script, produce film footage, and market the concert. Learning in the real world In March 2017, we visited Manley Park Primary School for the first time to deliver a creative music-making day for the whole school. Over six workshops, each class took part in an interactive concert with a Manchester Camerata trio of flute, french horn and cello, and composed one of the pieces that featured in the concert, live!
