Camerata in the Community: Shakespeare with Staffordshire Music Hub - Project Film In February 2017, we delivered workshops with 14 Staffordshire primary schools in partnership with the North West Midlands Music Education Hub, based around Shakespeare’s ‘Macbeth’. We’re No. 1 in Spinningfields
Watch BAM Construct UK’s video of a project that took place in January and February 2017, in which young people from the Heart of Manchester partnership schools and Hazelhurst Primary School in Bury wrote new music ready for a performance at the ‘topping out ceremony’ of the new No. 1 Spinningfields building! The project involved the young people visiting the site to gain inspiration for their song, and then work with Camerata musicians to create the new music which detailed their ideas about what could be inside the building. Wigan Music Service
Wigan Music Service In the spring term 2017, Camerata musicians are working with curriculum teachers from Wigan Music Service who are incorporating creative composition techniques into their lessons, based on the theme of dance. The musical results of these lessons will be arranged by composer Andy Smith into a piece for Wigan Youth Orchestra to play at their annual summer concert in July 2017.
