• What Does ‘Listening’ Mean to You?

    In April we had the final sessions of our GCSE listening project with Chetham’s School of Music. Manchester Camerata musicians along with six students from Chetham’s worked with pupils at William Hulme Grammar School and Loreto High School to improve their ‘listening’ skills and gain insights into new, practical approaches to listening in preparation for their GCSE exam.     Safer Together in Cheshire

    We had a fantastic day in March at Safety Central in Lymmf or the start of our project ‘Safer Together’ in collaboration with Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service. Four school classes joined us, along with adult groups, who were paired together to investigate different dangers that they face in their day to day lives, including home safety, rural safety and water safety. Both ages provided an inter-generational perspective on the problems, encouraging both to think about how they can help each other in ways that they may not have realised before.
