Help with Camerata in the Community

In March we proudly launched our Young People’s Health and Wellbeing PHSE resource in Denton Festival Hall in Tameside in collaboration with Tameside Public Health.

We created this resource through 6 workshops held at the end of last year with children from Tameside schools, who created songs based on health and wellbeing topics that they suggested which affected their lives. Alongside a Camerata musician, composer and producer, the young people created lyrics and melodies for songs which formed an album and will, along with the activity pack, encourage hundreds of children throughout Tameside to explore what health and wellbeing means to them.

The pack also encourages music making to be part of daily classroom life, as well as being able to tie in with many other subjects, such as Maths and English.

We will be holding a further 20 workshops in Tameside schools in the summer term to help implement and encourage the use of the resource.
